A tree on the Mehi River bank.

A tree on the Mehi River bank.

Amazing Grace

Black & White

Shades of Grey

Nature is beautiful

Every way

Such Amazing Grace

Strange sights

I went down to the river,

To dwell and think awhile,

I went down to the river,

As long shadows,

Cast their smiles.

I gazed into the water,

It’s Deep and silent hue,

I went down to the river,

And shed my tears anew.

Lullabies & Dreams

Where er they go on tiptoed wings,

The breath of babes do sigh.

Starry tears  and fairy dust,

Sparkle as they glide.

A sprinkle of eternity,

To sweeten dreams anew.

Whispered threads sing lullabies,

In tune.

Haloed shadows brighten.

Blending with the dew.

A misty kiss

Caress of dawn.

As a shower of flowers litter the gum trees.
A glorious crown settles upon their regal heads.
Set with jewel-like dusty snowflakes
Encrusted with gold and silver threads

Lemon essence,
Fills the breeze,
Adorns their cradle
Of Pine Tree leaves
Whispered voices
Hushed in tones
Caress to sleep
Their weary Cones
Basking in,
A luminous glow,
Candles in the wind

Wisdom, Woes and Burdens,
Confined by Oath and Ancient Pact,
In tedious disarray.
A record
Coloured tears,
Scared cheeks,
Forged by forgotten days.

Spring – Refreshed from her slumber she basks beneath her golden crown.

As interwoven tendrils,

Filtered down and passed along,

Through the eye of history,

Written page and song,

Our lines progress entangled,

Sprung from our family tree,

All branches of humanity,

Embraced by ancestry.
