If pebbles were your tears

Rocks your stumbling blocks

Boulders were your fears

Ripples time you’ve lost

If whirlpools were your thoughts

Still pools were lessons learnt

Rapids were your courage

Depth the scars you’ve earned

If dreams were barren gullies

Bends your changing sights

Snags your past regrets

Your flow the blood of life

If waterfalls were failures

Erosion battles fought

I’d wash them all before your path

And smooth your winding course

I’d carry you along the way

Never would we part

Your every step upon the land

Leave imprints on my heart.
